We we arrived at Central Engineering, we found that one of their biggest concerns was that industry standards had not been met in accordance with AS1680.1 minimum lux levels.
The Existing HID high bay lights had been positioned incorrectly, and with the roof heights being above 10m in the eastern section, the 400W HID was not performing well enough.
We proposed to install 18 Edison Lighting 200W LED High Bays for the 10m high sections of the roof, and 24 Edison Lighting 150W LED High Bays for the 7.5m high section of the roof.
Light meter readings were performed before and after the installation, and it was found that the existing lighting installation had an average of 180lx at an 8 metre hight, while after upgrading to Edison LEDs, we saw readings of 420lx – that’s more than double the existing brightness, and at a fraction of the running costs!
